Hello Final 6!!!
This week you need to submit a photo with a partner. Let's see the photos.
Yoona: This is cute and fun but honestly I was expecting more from you because you were almost sent home last week. I think the styling is cute and adorable but I'm not a fan of the angle. Both you and your partner also look a little bit stiff with the pose.
Emma: This is indeed cute. A production still from The Princess Diaries 2, if I'm not mistaken. That probably accounts to the candidness, and stiffness we're seeing here. It's not the most flattering face on you either, Anne.
Ariana: I think it's a cute shot, but I'm not sure how sold I am on the modeling value. I like the pose from both of you, but that facial expression... eesh. I think you've just got one of those faces where if it's not at the right angle it looks kind of off (same thing with me, not gonna lie) but when it's done right it's awesome. Good try this week, and good luck!
Jensen: It is very cute but you look like Felicia Day here. Screen caps only work if they're of excellent quality, and this really isn't. But it's a cute picture.
Yoona: Bey, I don't get it. We used to have Freida Pinto in Cycle 7 who took a risk and submit a photo with her mother but it worked out for her because the modelling content in her photo was so strong. This photo, it looks candid, your face isn't clear and you don't look like a model at all. I'm not sure what happened. You didn't give any explanations why you chose this photo so I just don't understand it at all. I'm really upset because you're one of the strong contenders for the title this season
Emma: I am pretty certain this is indeed a candid picture. The focus is on your baby, not you. Everything about this reads as candid.
Ariana: I want to like this photo more than I do. I appreciate the effort, and the imagination, but the blurriness... ay yi yi. As a picture and an artistic statement, it's amazing, but as a modelling submission... not really feeling it.
Jensen: I don't think it's candid because of the photography trick of blurring one person to focus on the other, but that being said, you are blurred out. This doesn't work. Sorry
Yoona: Okay be careful next time. I used to post wrong photo before so preview it first before click 'post'. Gorgeous photo especially the styling. But I don't really feel love between you and your partner. I can see that you worship her in this photo. But that's it. My another concern is Leighton kinda steal away the spotlight from you.
Emma: I would have actually went with the "accident" because you, both of you, look a lot better than in your "real" picture. We have told you before about wearing black and crouching like that. You are not Peter Dinklage. And need I remind you that Dinklage portrayed Boliver Trask in the last X-Men movie who may have been the cause of my death in that universe? That is a little bit of a sore spot, honey.
Ariana: *stares at Emma Frost* Did you actually just get annoyed with a model because he resembles an actor who played a fictional character who murdered another fictional character? Call me Little Miss Odd BECAUSE I CAN'T EVEN.
Anyway, I like this. It's an interesting take on the couple photo, and I like the interplay between you and Leighton in this. There's so much going on and there's a lot of story that could be told here, and the modelling is also fantastic. Great work this week, Ed?
Emma: You've never been murdered and had your genes harvested, have you, Ms Grande. Besides, that was a joke about my big criticism to this picture.
Jensen: The fact that you corrected yourself within minutes is proof it was just an accident. I am glad because I dont like the first photo. I really like the second one but I do believe you are being completely outshined by Leighton. But the picture is sexy as fuck.
Yoona: I was wondering at first whether this is a screenshot or not. I knew this is from a music video so maybe this is a promotional shot for the press. I kinda like the whole vibes in this photo. Especially the setting. The guy looks like he's so into you and you're enjoying your time with your man. Good job, Hilary.
Emma: It's not the best picture I've seen for this theme (I mean, I have got best picture for it twice now (C19 and C20), so I would know), but it's the best picture out of this bunch. It is a promotional still from Chasing the Sun, but it's high quality. Too bad it's not bigger.
Ariana: I like this. It's traditional without being cliche, and the setting keeps it interesting. What I'm not a fan of is the way the different angles seem to distort your body. You've got one tiny foot and a forearm that could take on the Hulk in an arm-wrestling competition. And the face... for some reason it makes me think Hilary Clinton instead of Hilary Duff, but I'm a tad daffy, so... anyway. I like this, those weirdnesses aside. Yes.
Jensen: The quality is good, this is what I mean by using a still and being great quality. You look odd but only because you really don't look a lot like you but the picture is amazing. Loving the connection between the two of you.
Yoona: Wow. This is a gorgeous shot. You look amazing in this photo but this is very risky move from you. You did explain your photo really well and I can see your point of views. This photo alone easily could get you another Best Photo but I have to consider other aspects as well. We will see...
Emma: Amazing shot, you defended it well, and it looks like only two in focus... But you did not follow the instructions and praising this is not fair to those who actually followed the guidelines. That will cost you dearly.
Ariana: I've re-read the directions for the photoshoot and I don't see that they say specifically that it can only be one other person. I think in this case a little creative liberty isn't the same as a rule-break, and I liked the justification. Next time just use the smudge tool and make the extra dudes into an amorphous blob, or ask for permission if you're not sure on something. Whichever.
Anywho, as for the photo itself, I love that you're the focus, and I really love the body language and everything else going on here. I don't know how I feel about that outfit, but everything else is fantastic and it all ties together so well. Great work!
Jensen: While the shot is absolutely fabulous, the connection is not with you and the guy on the right but the one you're touching and leaning towards. Which kind of ruins it. I am not getting any feelings of real connection here though. Great photo though.
Yoona: Sofia, I have to say this is my least favorite shot from you. But the love is there. I don't know what else to say. Good things for you though, you're not the only one who struggled this week.
Emma: Sofia, yes, the love is there... But you look constipated. Why didn't you choose a Modern Family promo image like this one below?
Ariana: I definitely sense the general vibe you were going for here, but I think it could have been a lot stronger if you'd managed to find a different angle. Still, it's not bad or anything. I'm actually pretty shocked that Sofia doesn't have more romance in her portfolio, you'd think that would be a common theme with someone as sensual as her. (I also disagree on the Modern Family angle - if you didn't know the show one of those shots would probably come across as weird and slightly pervy)
Jensen: I don't really like this. Sorry.
